Daytrotter just posted its session with The Districts today. You can take a listen and download it for free HERE (w/a membership). New Music Video: "Rocking Chair" - The Districts

The Districts just premiered a new music video for "Rocking Chair" over at NME. In it, they get a bit freaky in the woods, and you might learn a good lesson about playing with fire for a video shoot. It was produced by Dog Days Film. Enjoy!

All-ages Homecoming for The Districts at FUC May 15

2014 has been a huge breakout year for The Deli’s Philly Emerging Artist of 2013 winners, The Districts. From releasing their first label album with Fat Possum, to touring with Austin’s White Denim, and playing shows in the UK and beyond, they have made some major moves. Tonight’s all-ages show at First Unitarian Church will be a brief homecoming with old friends before they embark on a June tour with Dr. Dog, and get ready for big summer festivals like Lollapalooza, XPoNential Festival, and the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. The Districts will be joined this evening by their good pals Pine Barons, Nashvilles’s Clear Plastic Masks and Fly Golden Eagle. The Districts Opening for White Denim at Union Transfer Feb. 27

I think, by now, the rise of The Districts has been well-documented on The Deli's site. If you still haven't taken a listen to our Philly Emerging Artist of 2013, then you really need to catch up and do it now. But I really think that the best way to experience them is live, which you can do tonight when their tour with Austin rockers White Denim rolls into Union Transfer. And if you plan on going to SXSW, you'll also be able to find them at numerous showcases this year as they wow the crowds with their youthful exuberance and wise-beyond-their-years songwriting. Before you do all this, check out our recent interview with The Districts' talented yet humble frontman Rob Grote HERE.
