New Track: "420" - STS x rjd2

"Everyday is 420!" We already knew that. And now, rjd2 and STS have provided the anthem for our favorite number over at Complex with their new track, "420." It's the latest single from their forthcoming collaborative album, STS x rjd2, which will be available on May 5 via RJ's Electrical Connections.

New Track: “Hold On, Here It Go” - STS x rjd2

When two of your favorite artists collaborate, the potential level of excellence is sky high. Such is the case as producer extraordinaire RJD2 and emcee STS united for a creative endeavor. The album succinctly titled STS x RJD2 is scheduled for release on May 5 via R J Electrical Connections, and it’s first single “Hold On, Here It Go,” which premiered over at Rolling Stone, is an exuberant multi-genre blend. Utilizing the Bohemian Dub Orchestra, the song breathes an optimistic spring air as STS delivers his customary sharp-witted, slick-tongued lines amid calming keys and the bright blasts of horns lifting it up in a soulful manner. Mark your calendars, and play this jam again because once won’t be enough.

New Track: "20 Grand Palace" - rjd2

With a jazz-awakening start, flowing into the boogie-down funk with a touch of strings and some spacey keys, “20 Grand Palace,” rjd2’s latest offering is certain to solicit movement no matter where your listening to it. Taking advantage of the free sample library of loops and sounds recorded in its studio, Brooklyn’s Converse Rubber Tracks is providing musicians access to its collection worldwide. This track is a fine example within a plethora of possibilities.

New Video: "Made in Philadelphia" (Noisey) - Various Artists

It does our hearts good seeing/hearing some of our favorite music folks talk about their real experiences in and real love for Philly. As part of Budweiser and Noisey's Made in America video series, you'll find chats with Santigold, Schoolly D, rjd2, Spank RockAmanda Blank, Noah Breakfast (ex-Chiddy Bang), Tom Lax (Philadelphia Record Exchange/Siltbreeze Records), Eric Bresler (PhilaMOCA), and DJ Diamond Kuts.
