New Song: "Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches.” - Son Little

His voice may already be familiar to you, but now Aaron Livingston, aka Son Little, is ready to get his. The endlessly soulful singer was featured on The Root’s undun, as well as RJD2’s Icebird project, and now he is coming out on his own, showing why such stalwarts were clamoring to work with him. The guitarist and singer’s torment and pain manifests itself into a haunting, slow-burning new track called, “Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches.” The sparse but emotive track is highlighted, unsurprisingly, by Livingston’s powerful vocals. The Anti- Record signed Son Little already has some important friends, so he is sure to be on the rise.  Check out the track and video below.

rjd2 & Lushlife Throwdown at Union Transfer Feb. 21

DJ/producer/multi-instrumentalist/record label owner rjd2, a.k.a. Ramble John “RJ” Krohn, skyrocketed to fame and hip-hop credibility thanks to his debut LP Dead Ringer and 2004’s critically acclaimed Since We Last Spoke. None too shabby for a virtuoso who records, arranges, and produces all of his songs in the comfort of his fully furnished basement studio. The Renaissance man is back with his latest sonic journey More Is Than Isn’t, and his homecoming at Union Transfer tonight should be a real throwdown, especially with another Deli favorite, emcee/producer/multi-instrumentalist Lushlife, a.k.a. Raj Haldar, in tow. Lush has been making waves since his head-turning (and bobbing) 2009 mixtape Cassette City. So tonight will be an opportune moment to see him in his element, especially since he’s been crafting a lot of new material that we’ve been patiently waiting for him to unleash. Check out the collaboration that Lushlife did with rjd2, Dave Hartley (The War on Drugs, Nightlands), YIKES the ZERO, and many others for Weathervane Music’s Shaking Through below! New Music Video: "Descended From Myth" - rjd2

Uber-talented producer/DJ/musician rjd2 has a rad music machine of awesomeness set up in his new music video for "Descended From Myth," off his latest album More Is Than Isn't. This track is definitely on the "more" side with its triumphant horns. The video was directed by Thom Gunt. He'll be performing next in Philly on Friday, February 21 at Union Transfer.

New Video: Crate Diggers (Fuse TV) - rjd2

This is one of the many reasons why we love rjd2. Get into the mind of producer/DJ/label owner/multi-istrumentalist Ramble John Krohn as he talks about vinyl collecting in Fuse TV's Crate Diggers! And yes, we are very effin' jealous of his collection.
