New Video: "Shadows" (Live - Cardinal Sessions) - Son Little & Doe Paoro

Over the summer, Son Little (a.k.a. Aaron Livingston) wrote a new song, “Shadows,” with La-based singer-songwriter Doe Paoro. While recently in Germany, they recorded a live performance for Cardinal Sessions. The collaboration, backed with elegant acoustic guitar, melds the duo's vocals, creating a soulful, aching beauty. “Every struggle is its own kind of love.” Son Little will perform next in Philly on Friday, March 6 at The Fillmore on a billing that also includes Leon Bridges.

Son Little Comes Out From the Shadows at JB's Nov. 13

Son of a preacher man, singer-songwriter, and ANTI- recording artist Son Little, a.k.a. Aaron Livingston, had already gained respect in Philly and collaborated with the likes of local mega stars The Roots and RJD2. And on his latest self-titled album, the boy has become a man, humbly yet confidently coming out from the shadows into the spotlight. With powerful, intoxicating vocals, Livingston gathers a lifetime of influences, sculpting tunes that can be felt deep in the chest and way down in the gut. The love for gospel, soul, blues, and R&B is alive and well in Philly. New Track: "Hotline Bling" - Son Little

Son Little, a.k.a. Aaron Livingston, has put his personal spin on Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” The results deliver a soulful aching approach as Livingston’s wandering guitar licks and vocals meld, turning the lyrics inward. The drafty resonance shifts the tempo in a personal direction. Son Little is set to perform at Johnny Brenda’s on Friday, November 13 on a bill that also includes Xenia Rubinos.

New Music Video: "Lay Down" - Son Little

We're definitely city people, but Son Little's new music video for the single "Lay Down" has us longing for a more secluded life with our loved ones. As he shared with Vibe, “I wrote this song lying in bed with my lady, listening to the tea kettle whistle. I think about how complicated our lives are, all the ones and zeros distract us from what we really need and want. Sometimes I just want to take your love and hide.” The track is off his forthcoming self-titled debut album, due out October 16 via Anti-. Son Little will also be headlining Johnny Brenda's on November 13.Until then, get lost in this video that was directed by Kevin Clark.
