The YeahTones

Deli NYC Premiere: The YeahTones release new single "Son of a Gun" ahead of new EP

Just in time for you to blast it through your speakers with the top down, The YeahTones have released their newest single "Son of a Gun" ahead of their new EP Lightning, which is set to drop this fall. They return on this track with the same brash rock that drove listeners to a frenzy on 2016's Eviction Notice; front man Jake Pinto's voice comes screaming like a set of wheels peeling out of a driveway, with the rest of the band fueling the roaring engine as they take your eardrums at 100 miles an hour down a desert road. Grammy-nominated engineer Claudius Mittendorfer mixed the track; he's known for his work with Weezer and Panic at the Disco. On top of that, "Son of a Gun" was also recently featured in Season 8 of Shameless. Watch for Lightning to drop this fall, and listen to "Son of a Gun" below. - Will Sisskind

The YeahTones take their blues rock South

Don’t let the matching shirts throw you off—Brooklyn’s The YeahTones are not here to be gimmicky, they’re here to serve you loud, unpretentious guitar-driven rock. Their new video for “Believe” (streaming below) provides a nice cross-section of who they are as a band; the three-piece shreds across unapologetically bluesy riffs that even your dad can’t turn his nose up at. The YeahTones kicked off their tour last night in NYC at Belle Reve. They'll head down south, where their music belongs, and then make it back on August 25th fora homework show at The Hall at MP. - Lilly Milman

The Yeahtones celebrate debut album release at Rockwood on 11.06

The Yeahtones' debut album is 9 tracks of snarling, garagey blues rock that hit the listener with fuzzy, sledgehammer riffs right out of the gate. The LP, titled Eviction Notice, promises lots of bluesy licks and sweeping visceral payouts, all while managing catchy, melodic leads. Though the album is called Eviction Notice, I think it's safe to say that the Yeahtones won't be getting kicked to the curb anytime soon. Listen to the premiere of Eviction Notice streaming below, and catch the Yeahtones at their album release party at Rockwood's Stage 2 on November 6th. - Olivia Sisinni

The YeahTones unveil single for 'What Could I Do' + play Brooklyn Bowl on 09.12

NYC's quartet The YeahTones are here to remind us that Blues Rock can still be the coolest (old) kid on the block, if only flawlessly executed and - at once - approached with the creative edge it too often lacks. Listening to 'What Could I Do' - whose perfectly gritty video is streaming below - we couldn't help but being reminded how The Beatles, in tracks like Come Together, I Want You and Helter Skelter, were able to make that genre sound entirely fresh again. With this single, The YeahTones' accomplish that same goal through subtle variations to the original 12 bar Blues "script," and an arrangement that delivers unexpected turns without lacking in the power department. The guys must be seen live for full approeciation - their next show is at Brooklyn Bowl on September 12th.

YeahTones to deliver fuzzy fun garage rock 8/12 at Pianos

The YeahTones are kind of the perfect soundtrack for when you decide to finally blow off your mom and sneak out of the house with your friends. A Brooklyn based blues garage rock band that just announced an August residency at the Basement, the YeahTones play a brash kind of rock n' roll that's equal parts fun and liberating. The band deals exclusively in punk's don't-care attitude, but delivers wildly catchy hooks that never feel insincere. Watch and listen to their single "Find My Baby" below and be sure to check them out August 12th at Pianos in support of the Jullian Cubillos Band. - Olivia Sisinni
