THE DANGER BEES - LIVE AT JUNCTION CITY MUSIC HALL!

The Danger Bees are a 5 piece alt-rock based in Toronto. They released a brand new record in January titled "Fish With Wings". This album has 9 songs and completely oozes 90's. These tunes should have been featured on the Wedge in 1997. If you feel like some brand new nostalgia (is that a thing?) then head over to the Danger Bees bandcamp and buy this record. Make sure you go see them on Saturday April 29th at Junction City Music Hall with Big Name Actors, Flamingo Báy and High Heels Lo Fi. - Kris Gies

The Inbetween Days

Sofar Chicago released their recording of The Inbetween Days performing their track “Have You Seen Her” this week. The track was released as a single back in October as a follow-up to their 2016 LP, Stranger than Strangers.

Mazes

Shiny Wet Machine to bring their indie/punk to Webster Hall 4/23

Bewitching enough to draw you in, but posessing the raw power of an ever edging powder keg, Brooklyn-based duo, Shiny Wet Machine is a sublime blend of indie rock and punk aesthetic. A project uniting Sizzy Rocket and Alex Fitts (aka the Kickdrums), Shiny Wet Machine's tracks are infectious, hip-shaking tunes with unapologetically jagged teeth--sugar and spice and whatever manages to fall in between. Check out what can only be an explosive set when the band plays the Studio at Webster Hall 4/23, but in the meantime stream new track "Euphoria" below. - Olivia Sisinni

Weekend Warrior, April 21 - 23

Rowdy, restless, riff-charged Dark Web tied us in with their self-titled album (The Deli Philly’s April Record of the Month). This Saturday, their nonstop sewer punk sounds serve as the primer for a Record Store Day lineup at Repo Records that doesn’t quit. The stampeding, snarling, punk anthems of Posers enter the fray, while a fire-breathing, raw-rock fury explodes from the down and dirty exploits of Residuels. The murky, mystic, synth-laced, darkwave of Remote Control will dial you in, and sticky, psych grooves and sweltering exploratory guitar runs set off the closing solo set from Purling Hiss

As the day dwindles down, Eris Temple Arts will host the release show for chamber-folk ensemble On the Water’s new EP Superposition. Whether dashing forward in exuberant rock or swaying in reflective melodies, Dominic resonates. Potentially showcasing material from their forthcoming album Burn Bridges, Burn Pies, the Mad-Hattered, quirky concoctions of OhBree is on the slate, as are the adventurous-eclectic instrumentation merged with captivating songwriting of Dear Rabbit. The duo of Baby & Shylow, which features Aleks Martray (Grandchildren), kicks off the proceedings. - Michael Colavita
