New Track: "Tired of Everything" - Bardus

Doom metal outfit Bardus have released a new single, “Tired of Everything,” which represents their half of a soon to be available split with Baltimore's Multicult, courtesy of Corpse Flower Records. The band shears guitar threads through the ominous backend underbelly in its latest offering, as the fading but fervent vocals roar. Those dire swells of sound shake with a primal power. Bardus will be kicking off a late summer run this evening with Connecticut noise-rock power trio Grizzlor.

New Track: "Thirst For Violence" - S-21

S-21 is one of the most exciting hardcore acts to emerge from the Philly DIY scene, as of late. That is why we are truly bummed to learn that the band's show this Friday, September 1 at the First Unitarian Church, with Blazing Eye, Exit Order, and Macho Boys, will be the group's last. However, before they burn it all down, you can stream and download the brutal lead single, off S-21's forthcoming EP Operation Menu (World Gone Mad/Slugsalt), called "Thirst for Violence".

SCARLETT'S HAND - AUGUST 30 AT THE PISTON!

4 piece hard rock from Toronto, Scarlett’s Hand originally formed in late 2013 and have been honing their craft ever since. It’s true riff rock with “laser beam solos” as they describe it. After listening to the track “Scarlett’s Hand” you’re able to figure out what they mean by that almost immediately. They’ve played everywhere from the smallest dive bars to a packed Mod Club. You can see them up close and personal for yourself at the Piston on August 30th. – Kris Gies
