Cote unveils new track 'Green Light'

We highlighted COTE a few weeks ago in this very blog and we just noticed the Brooklyn based project (brainchild of singer songwriter Taryn Randall) released her second single, entitled 'Green Light,' which confirms the good things we heard in the first one, and in particular a beautifully expressive voice. No live events scheduled for her just yet. - photo by Jen Trahan

New Hezekiah Jones EP Available for Streaming

The musical troupe of Hezekiah Jones, led by Raph Cutrufello, has released a new collection of tunes. The EP Har! Har! Har! is partitioned into three tracks, “Yeshe & Horus,” “Between a Sea & a Soft Place,” and “Sylvia North”. The triad of songs is saturated in the seductive lure of vocal harmonies, while a wandering synth lingers in the background. It’s inherently inviting as it teeters in a mystical realm. There will also be five extra covers hidden on the band's upcoming CD release. Hezekiah Jones is scheduled to join Mason Porter and The End of America on Saturday, December 10 at Ardmore Music Hall. Theo Kandel releases heartfelt single "Jumping Ship"

Claiming to have been “writing music that makes all the moms cry since ’96,” singer/songwriter Theo Kandel writes straight from the heart. In his single, “Jumping Ship” he has a strong command of voice, knowing when to belt and when to soften up a bit to create a truly genuine song.  Inspired by the likes of The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, and Bob Dylan, his poetic lyrics are seamlessly accompanied by the soft strumming of a guitar.  Having recently played a show at Rockwood Music Hall, Theo Kandel is working on new music aimed at make you think, and possibly, cry. - Madeleine Grossman
