New Track: "Outnumbered" - The HIRS Collective

Friends. Lovers. Favorites., the first official full-length album from The HIRS Collective, is scheduled for release on April 20 via Get Better Records/SRA Records. An eye-popping array of guests that includes Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace, Garbage's Shirley Manson, and Screaming Females' Marissa Paternoster just to name a few can be found on the forthcoming record. The LP’s closer, “Outnumbered,” issues a warning message aimed at those whom infringe on the rights of trans-women. Along with Thou, HIRS will be supporting Screaming Females at Union Transfer on Thursday, April 5, which is presented by WKDU.

New Track: "Boy" - Instupendo

“Boy,” the new single from Aidan Peterson, a.k.a. Instupendo, is an awakening attitude adjustment. It starts the day off on the right foot, while delicate, tiptoeing keys gradually gain depth and pace. Subtlety developing layers before revealing the groove, the song captures an elegant, dance-catalyzing density. You can catch Instupendo at Coda on Friday, March 30, opening for Digitalism.

New Cameron Boucher/Field Medic Split EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Yesterday, local imprint Flower Girl Records issued a split release between label founder Cameron Boucher (Sorority Noise, Small Circle) and Field Medic, a.k.a. Kevin Patrick Sullivan, with its proceeds going to Covenant House. The four-song selection is directly linked to one’s emotive core. Vulnerable, folk instrumentation places a spotlight on the open love letter lyrics in “Of Alaska” and “ITL” (Reprise). There’s beauty in embracing and accepting the imperfections of those you love. Field Medic is part of tonight’s lineup at Everybody Hits, which also includes Kississippi, Shannen Moser, and Cherry.

New Music Video: "Lonely Road" - Radiator Hospital

Featured on their latest album Play The Songs You Like (Salinas Records), Radiator Hospital recently shared a music video for “Lonely Road” via the band’s new website. Directed David Combs and Ben Epstein, the footage captures the crew embracing the joys of Hershey Park. However, in contrast to their playful surroundings, a singular member just cannot escape a dreary outlook. On Sunday, June 3, Radiator Hospital and LVL Up are slated to support Japanese Breakfast at Union Transfer.
